In most cases we assume that the reason why learners do not complete their work is because of laziness. The question is; Is it really laziness?

I mean there are other contributing factors that people tend to overlook. The list begins but does not end with things such as:

👉 Procrastination
Most learners tend to rush through their work and that creates a habit of waiting until the last minutes to complete the work. The usually end up with little or low-quality work. Plan your time well so you can be able to do your work early enough.

👉 Lack of interest
Learners tend to have an ‘it is too difficult for me’ attitude and end up not doing the work. This is usually caused by not being concerned enough with the subject. In most cases learners develop such attitude because of lack of interest. We all know learners do well on what they are mostly interested in.  It has been said that developing an interest in something is a thing of the mind.

👉 Too much responsibilities
Some learners are just too engaged in so many activities (curricular, extra murals, house chores). Some can’t decline people’s request when asked to do something. This might limit their time in a way that they are not end up not having enough time for themselves and studies as the body demands to rest at some point. Cut off some of the activities and dedicate that time into learning more about your academics work.

👉 Being disorganised
Some students are so lazy that they cannot keep an order of things. They usually do not plan how to carry out certain activities. Plan your activities in an order of how important they are to you and your preferences as well.

👉 Helplessness
Some students don’t have a support system with regards to their academics and are therefore left with no one to guide them. Having no one to put them through some learning difficulties may lead them into losing interests. Consult with the teachers on concept that you do not understand or consider getting a tutor, given that you are able to afford one.
