There are several challenges that make tutoring hard.

There are several challenges that make tutoring hard.

✍ Most people rely on friends and family for tutoring. Some of the family and friends members they rely on have little knowledge of what goes on in the classroom or are not fully aware of the current trends in the space of education.

✍ Lack of motivation among students is one of the biggest challenges for most tutors. One of the reasons for that is other interest and goals they have in mind. Some students tend to think they do not need education since their parents are doing well or feel that they can use whatever talent God gave them to prosper in life.

✍ Workload can make students feel stressed and anxious. They tend to feel like they do not have enough time to complete activities from the workload they have. In most cases they tend to worry about other activities at hand while you are tutoring them.

✍ Some students are so lazy that they have no interests or motivation for learning. You as a tutor may do your best to help them but if they are not doing their part (practicing and studying) then nothing productive is happening.

✍ High parental pressure us one of the causes of mental illnesses among students. Most of theses students tend to experience anxieties as they fear what might happen should they not perform to their parents’ expectations. Tutors are then not allowed to work independently as they are constantly interrupted by parents who expect their children to learn according to their level.

It requires a lot of patience and determination to help someone learn regardless of the challenges they come across. Tutors need to understand the intellectual levels and problems of every student so they can help them push through all challenges.
